Understanding Grade 7 Baldness

Swati April 20, 2023

Hair loss is a common problem that affects both men and women. However, hair loss can be more severe for men, leading to baldness. Baldness is a condition where hair loss is extensive, and the scalp becomes visible. Baldness can be classified into different grades, ranging from Grade 1 to Grade 7. This article will focus on Grade 7 Baldness, its causes, symptoms, and treatment options like Turkey hair transplant.

Types of Hair Loss

Hair loss is a normal part of the hair growth cycle. A person typically loses 50 to 100 hairs a day. However, excessive hair loss can result from various factors, including genetics, hormonal changes, medical conditions, medications, and stress.

Different types of hair loss include Androgenetic Alopecia (Male Pattern Baldness), Telogen Effluvium, Alopecia Areata, Traction Alopecia, and Scarring Alopecia. Each type of hair loss has different symptoms and causes.

The Norwood-Hamilton Scale

The Norwood-Hamilton Scale is a standard classification system doctors use to diagnose and classify male pattern baldness. The scale has different stages that indicate the extent of hair loss, ranging from Stages 1 -7.

Grade 7 Baldness is the most severe stage of hair loss on the Norwood-Hamilton Scale. It is characterized by hair loss on the entire top of the scalp, leaving only a horseshoe-shaped hairline around the sides and back of the head. The main cause of Grade 7 Baldness is Androgenetic Alopecia, a hereditary condition.

Symptoms of Grade 7 Baldness include a visible horseshoe-shaped hairline, receding temples, and a bald crown. Treatment options for Grade 7 Baldness include hair transplantation and non-surgical hair replacement options.

Hair Transplantation

Hair transplantation is a surgical procedure that involves transplanting hair from a donor area to the balding area. There are different techniques of hair transplantation, including Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT), Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE), and Direct Hair Implantation (DHI).

Pros of hair transplantation include:

  • Natural-looking results.
  • A permanent solution to hair loss.
  • The ability to restore confidence.

Cons of hair transplantation include the high cost, the risk of complications, and the need for multiple sessions.

Non-surgical hair replacement options include wigs and hairpieces, hair fibers, hair thickening sprays, and micro scalp pigmentation. These options provide a temporary solution to hair loss and are less expensive than hair transplantation.

How Much Do 3000 Grafts Cost In Turkey?

Turkey hair transplant cost can vary depending on various factors, including the number of grafts required, the technique used, and the surgeon’s experience. However, on average, the cost of a hair transplant with 3000 grafts in Turkey ranges from $2000 to $5000.

It’s important to note that the cost can be significantly lower compared to other countries, which is why Turkey has become a popular destination for medical tourism in recent years. It’s essential to do proper research and choose a reputable and experienced hair transplant clinic to ensure safe and effective results.

Preventing Hair Loss

Preventing hair loss is possible through maintaining a healthy lifestyle, using gentle hair care products, managing stress levels, avoiding tight hairstyles, and taking hair loss prevention medications.

Coping with hair loss can be challenging, especially for men. Accepting hair loss, talking to a therapist, and joining support groups can help cope with hair loss’s emotional impact.

Grade 7 Baldness is the most severe stage of hair loss, and it can be challenging to cope with.

However, various treatment options are available, including hair transplantation and non-surgical hair replacement options. Seeking help from a professional can help in finding the best treatment option for individual needs.
