Tips & Ideas For An Standout Event

Keeping the audience engaged boosts the chances of a successful event, and these ideas and tips offer you just that.

1. Start On The Right Foot

Starting long before the first guest shows up, you can make your event stand out from the competition. Start by designing a simplified registration process. For many, this will be their first contact with your event. Additionally, it is the first site where potential clients leave.

Keep the sign-up process simple and quick, gather the necessary data, and give users access to the information that matters to them. However, it may not seem like the simplest method to create a memorable experience for your event, and it isn’t.

However, it is a technique to make your event less grating for attendees. Users may already be emotionally connected to your event if they have a complex, frustrating, or unclear first experience. You wouldn’t want to start with your attendees on the wrong foot.

2. Reach Out To The Attendees

Once your registration procedure has been established, it is time to start contacting guests. Again, utilizing a platform like Twitter is a fantastic method to accomplish this. Why not introduce yourself and ask them to participate in a pre-event Q&A if you can get the guest’s social media handles as part of the sign-up process.

Try to match your mode of contact with the demographic of your guests since this may also be done through email or social media. Introducing yourself and facilitating pre-arrival visitor introductions are the main objectives here.

Social media can be used to generate interest in your event. The most straightforward approach is writing about notable event elements like keynote speakers or business insights.

An email reminder is a subsequent action. The email should be brief while providing all the details a visitor could require, such as the location’s map, a link to the itinerary, timings of the event, etc.

3. Displaying A Social Wall

Since you have involved your attendees with well-thought planning, it’s time to capture their attention at the event through a social media wall.

Now, you must be thinking that we have already utilized social media content to engage attendees. So, how is a social media wall different. Trust us, a social media wall is a different since it runs user-created social media posts in real-time on the event’s digital screens. These social media posts can be in the form of texts, photos, and videos across multiple social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.

You can create a free social wall to display across multiple locations at your events to keep your audience engaged brilliantly. Not only will attendees be hooked by looking at it, but they can participate by appearing on the social media wall. For example, attendees can create a post on social media using the event’s hashtag, and this post can be fetched on the social media wall by the event organizers.

4. Help Attendees Settle In

Encourage your audience to fully immerse themselves in the culture if you take them to a novel location. For instance, go to the farmer’s market with a local chef and hand-select local fresh produce. After that, conduct a cooking lesson where guests can prepare regional dishes using regional culinary methods to savor their bounty. Then, let them change the menu to fit their preferences.

5. Introduce Attendees To Speakers

The keynote speakers you select for your event are frequently a big draw; in some cases, hearing from a well-known figure in your sector was the primary incentive for attendees to register. Give your audience the chance to socialize with eminent lecturers for an unforgettable educational experience.

6. Reach Out After The Event

Many event planners believe it is time to relax when the event is over. You still have hosting to do, in actuality. Send out thank-you notes to those who did come and stay in touch with those who couldn’t make it. Also, be sure to reconnect with anyone who couldn’t attend. Information from the event and comment cards should be shared with your connections.

A link to the video recording of each speaker will be included in the thank-you email from many larger conferences. Users are kept interested in the event; as a result, adding value.

Wrapping Up!

No event can be perfect, but in the quest to create a perfect one, you can definitely make a brilliant one. These ideas and tips will undoubtedly stamp a memorable tag on your event. Get going now!
